This research was awarded to the client as part of the Maryland Department of Business & Economic Developments Strategic Assistance Consulting Fund. The work comprised a marketplace analysis and competitive analysis of two potential opportunities based on criteria provided by the client. After delivery of this report we were retained to complete further research and development of an operations plan to support the marketing recommendations in phase one.
The Lost Days database is a civilian worker timecard series that has existed without any regular study for a number of years. As part of an Army-wide initiative to reduce mishaps, The Army Safety Office at the Pentagon asked for a series of reports that would graphically depict the information from this database. The reports were made for all Army installations in the U.S. and feedback was obtained via video teleconference from bases around the world.
The client was an environmental sciences firm that had discovered a by-product which they believed could potentially become a profitable new line for the company. The product commercialization study helped them to assess the opportunity for this product (an adhesive) before investing in its further development.
World Bank retained a group of independent writers to assemble a series of "good news" articles based on WB projects in a number of countries. The cataract surgery article was synthesized from volumes of data and internal reports provided by WB for this purpose.
